# Privacy

Short version: the hands, counts and settings you enter never leave your device.

## What happens to what you enter

Every tool on Mahjong Lore runs as JavaScript in your browser. The tiles you tap, the notation you type, the faan you tick and the counts you enter are worked out on your device and are not sent to any server. There are no accounts and no forms that submit anywhere.

## Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies or track you across other sites, and it never receives what you type, tap or enter into the tools. There are no advertising or other tracking scripts.

## Cookies and local storage

Mahjong Lore does not use cookies. If you choose the light or dark theme with the button in the header, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name mahjonglore-theme, so the next page opens in the same theme. Choosing "Auto" removes it. Nothing else is stored.

## Links to other sites

Links to other websites, including our sister sites and the two recommended tools, are ordinary links: those sites have their own privacy policies, and nothing from your session here is passed to them.

## Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes the technical details of each request (such as your IP address) in order to deliver the page.
